Ministry of National Defense: Firmly opposes any form of official exchanges between the United States and Taiwan.

This afternoon, Defense Ministry spokesman Jiang Bin released a statement on recent military-related issues. There are reports that the chairman of the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee may lead a congressional delegation to visit Taiwan in the near future. If this trip takes place, it could be the first time a member of Congress in that position has visited Taiwan since 2016. In response to this, the spokesman stated that they strongly oppose any form of official exchanges between the U.S. and Taiwan.
