The yield on 10-year German bonds fell by 2 basis points.
On Thursday, at the European market close, the yield on German 10-year government bonds fell by 2.0 basis points to 2.630%. There were two waves of declines throughout the day, with overall trading between 2.666% and 2.263%. Shortly after the Bank of England announced a rate cut at 7:00 PM Beijing time, the yield on German 2-year government bonds remained roughly unchanged at 1.919%, trading within a range of 1.907% to 1.934%, also hitting a daily high at 19:05. The yield on 30-year German government bonds dropped by 0.8 basis points to 2.226%. The yield spread between 2-year and 10-year German government bonds decreased by 1.979 basis points to +70.888 basis points.
