Zhengzhou Meteorological Observatory issued a red alert for heavy rain in the Central Plains area at 13:20 on August 7, 2025: due to the slow movement of strong convective cloud clusters, parts of the Central Plains area in Zhengzhou have already experienced heavy rainfall of over 100 millimeters. It is expected that in the next 3 hours, most areas of the towns and streets under the jurisdiction of the Central Plains area will continue to experience precipitation, accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and other severe convective weather, with some areas receiving up to 150 millimeters of rainfall. Please be aware of secondary disasters such as urban waterlogging caused by heavy rainfall.
