After TSMC, Samsung and SK Hynix also escape 100% chip tariffs imposed by Trump by relying on American chip factories.
Jichuang Finance APP learned that Han Jiuzhou, the highest-level trade negotiation representative of South Korea, stated on Thursday that the two major storage chip giants in South Korea, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, will not be subject to the 100% tariff on chips imposed by the US government. Han Jiuzhou emphasized on a radio program that, among the exporting countries, South Korea's chip exports will enjoy the most favorable chip tariff rate granted by the US government under the recent trade agreement reached between Washington and Seoul. However, he did not further specify the details.
