Twenty rivers in Guangdong, Yunnan, Xinjiang and other areas have experienced floods exceeding the warning level.

According to the Ministry of Water Resources, on August 6th, due to rainfall, 19 rivers including the middle reaches of the Beijiang River in Guangdong, the Embankment River, Suijiang, and Hejiang in Guangdong, Lianhua River in Guangxi, and other rivers in Yunnan experienced floods above the warning level. Meanwhile, affected by high temperatures and snowmelt, the upper reaches of the Aral River in the Tarim River in Xinjiang also experienced floods above the warning flow level. In addition, the water level of Taihu Lake has gradually dropped below the warning level, but there are still 6 stations in the surrounding river network with water levels exceeding the warning level by 0.03 to 0.08 meters. The Ministry of Water Resources has conducted rolling consultations and analysis, and issued targeted reminders to 13 provinces and regions including Hebei, Inner Mongolia, and Ningxia to ensure the safety of reservoirs, embankments, and flood prevention work for small and medium-sized rivers and flash floods.
