Apple announced that it will be hiring 20,000 people in the United States. The new $25 billion commitment is part of the company's $60 billion expansion plan in the US over the next four years. By partnering with suppliers, Apple plans to accelerate production in the US through the new "Made in America" program. The first partners in the "Made in America" program include Corning, Applied Materials, Texas Instruments, Samsung, and others. Corning will dedicate its Harrodsburg factory solely to producing for Apple, and the number of employees in Kentucky will increase by 50%.
