According to the website of Nikkei, on the morning of August 6th, Japanese Minister of Economic Revitalization, Akazawa Ryo, who is currently visiting the United States, stated to reporters that the official announcement from the United States to impose tariffs starting on August 7th does not align with the agreement reached between Japan and the United States earlier, which will result in higher tariffs for Japan. Japan requested the United States to correct this.
