Applied Materials announced that the company is joining Apple and Texas Instruments to jointly strengthen the chip manufacturing industry in the United States. They are currently providing American-made equipment to Texas Instruments' production base in the United States through their factory in Austin for manufacturing foundational semiconductor products for Apple. They plan to invest over $200 million to build an advanced manufacturing plant in Arizona for the production of key components for semiconductor equipment.
