Several departments have improved the capacity of the China-Europe freight train "Eastern Corridor" with customs clearance efficiency increasing by nearly 10%.

As of now, more than 3000 Chinese-European freight trains have passed through the "East Corridor" of the China-Europe freight train network, transporting over 300,000 standard containers of various goods, accounting for 26.6% of the total national volume, with the number of return trains accounting for 33.1% of the total national volume. In order to comprehensively enhance the comprehensive guarantee capability of serving the "Belt and Road" initiative, the railway, border inspection, and customs have established an integrated working system, making every effort to shorten the stay time of return trains at port stations, and improve customs clearance efficiency by nearly 10% compared to before.
