A military helicopter in Ghana crashes, two ministers killed.
The spokesperson for the Ghanaian government said on the 6th that a military helicopter crashed that day in the Ashanti region in the central-southern part of the country. All 8 people on board, including two ministers, were killed. The spokesperson said the helicopter took off from the Ghanaian capital Accra at 9:12 am local time and crashed in the Ashanti region. All 5 government officials and 3 crew members on board were killed, including the Minister of Defense Edward Kofi Omane Boamah and the Minister of Environment, Science and Technology Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed.
