The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Ministerial Meeting on Digital and Artificial Intelligence was held in Incheon, South Korea.

On August 4th, the APEC Ministerial Meeting on Digital Economy and Artificial Intelligence was held in Incheon, South Korea. The theme of the meeting was "Towards a Digital and Artificial Intelligence Transformation for Shared Prosperity and Sustainable Development". Xiong Jijun, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting adopted the APEC Ministerial Declaration on Digital Economy and Artificial Intelligence. During the meeting, Xiong Jijun met with delegation leaders from economies such as South Korea, Singapore, and Hong Kong, exchanging views on strengthening cooperation in the information and communication field. Xiong Jijun also attended the APEC 2025 Global Forum on Digital Economy and Artificial Intelligence jointly organized by the South Korean Ministry of Science and ICT and the World Bank and delivered a speech. While in South Korea, Xiong Jijun held bilateral talks with the South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, conducted research on South Korean companies such as Samsung and SK, and promoted deeper cooperation between China and South Korea in the industrial sector.
