The 20th Changchun Film Festival in China will kick off on August 23rd.

This year marks the 120th anniversary of the birth of Chinese film and the 80th anniversary of the founding of Changchun Film Studio. The 20th China Changchun Film Festival will be held in Changchun from August 23 to August 28, 2025. The festival is hosted by China Central Radio and Television General Station, the People's Government of Jilin Province, and organized by the People's Government of Changchun City. With the theme of "New Era, New Cradle, New Power, New Journey", the festival will include six major sections: opening and closing ceremonies, film awards, film screenings, film exchanges, paying tribute to the "cradle", and industry integration, presenting the innovation and heritage of Chinese-language films in a panoramic way.
