The State Administration for Market Regulation has revised and issued the "Measures for Handling Complaints and Reports in Market Supervision and Management", and is now seeking public opinions. This is to implement and specify the "Regulations on the Implementation of the Consumer Rights and Interests Protection Law of the People's Republic of China." Improvements have been made to the complaint handling process, including modifications and enhancements to the complaint materials, notification of non-acceptance, designation of appraisal and testing agencies, mediation arrangements, and mediation deadlines. Furthermore, regulations on complaint and reporting behaviors have been standardized, with the addition of provisions prohibiting the use of complaints and reports for the purpose of seeking unfair benefits.
