J.P. Morgan warns that the sudden dismissal of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) director may endanger the credibility of the data and policy transparency. Prior to this, President Trump ordered the dismissal of BLS director Erika McEntarfer on August 1st, citing that the July employment report data was "far below expectations" and the job numbers for the previous two months were significantly revised downward.
