HSBC poaches UBS executive in charge of marketing, aims to build the largest wealth management company outside the United States.

HSBC Holdings has hired John McDonald from UBS Group to lead its marketing efforts. The company aims to become the largest wealth management company globally outside the United States in the coming years. According to his LinkedIn profile, McDonald recently served as UBS Group's Chief Marketing Officer, and previously worked at Mastercard. He is set to join HSBC in October as the Chief Marketing Officer.
