German bond yields remained roughly flat on Tuesday.
In the European market at the close on Tuesday, the yield on Germany's 10-year government bonds held steady at approximately 2.624%. By 3:12 PM Beijing time, it had fallen to 2.601%, hitting a daily low, but then fluctuated higher, reaching 2.647% at 8:01 PM, a new daily high, before gradually giving back some of the gains. The yield on Germany's 2-year government bonds increased by 0.7 basis points, to 1.908%, trading between 1.899% and 1.923% during the day. The yield on Germany's 30-year government bonds rose by 0.3 basis points, to 3.138%. The yield spread between 2-year and 10-year German government bonds narrowed by 0.864 basis points, to +71.225 basis points.
