In July, the passenger flow at the ports of entry and exit in Shanghai continued to rise, with double-digit growth in both the airport and cruise terminals.
Since the start of the summer travel season on July 1st, the number of passengers entering and leaving Shanghai ports has continued to rise. In July, there were 23,000 inbound and outbound flights at Shanghai airports, with 3.67 million passengers, representing year-on-year increases of 10.5% and 11.8% respectively. There were 47 inbound and outbound cruise ships with 184,000 passengers, marking year-on-year increases of 2.1% and 44.4% respectively. According to the latest data from Shanghai Customs, in the first seven months of this year, there were 148,000 inbound and outbound flights at Shanghai airports, with 23.597 million passengers, representing year-on-year increases of 13.4% and 20.1% respectively. There were 381 inbound and outbound cruise ships with 1.191 million passengers, marking year-on-year increases of 62.8% and 56% respectively.
