The rise in U.S. Treasury bonds has temporarily paused, as traders are preparing for a large amount of bond issuance this week. The 10-year yield rose 1 basis point to 4.22%. The 2-year yield stabilized after experiencing the largest drop since 2023 on Friday. This is the largest long-term bond issuance week since May, which may put pressure on bond prices. The Treasury Department will issue a total of $125 billion in new 3-year, 10-year, and 30-year bonds.
