Beijing adjusts 261 ground bus routes citywide.

On August 4th at 13:00, the city of Beijing upgraded its red alert for heavy rain. According to the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission, in the face of the severe weather conditions, the city's transportation department has implemented various measures based on emergency response requirements, comprehensively deploying flood prevention measures in areas such as rail transportation, ground public transportation, and road maintenance. The focus is on ensuring the necessary transportation for the morning and evening peak hours for citizens while maintaining the smooth and orderly flow of urban traffic. Regarding ground public transportation, there is a strong emphasis on safety control for mountainous routes, with clear instructions to stop services on mountainous routes, and to check road conditions before resuming service. As of 14:00 on the 4th, 261 routes in 9 districts of the city have implemented measures such as suspending services or skipping stops.
