The main structure of the key core equipment R&D capability improvement project for fusion energy in Hefei has been topped out.
On August 4th, according to the news from China Construction Website, the main structure of the key core equipment research and development project to enhance the R&D capability of fusion energy in Hefei, undertaken by China Construction Fourth Bureau, was recently topped out. The project is located in the Future Science City of Hefei, Anhui Province, with a total construction area of approximately 23,000 square meters. The construction content includes a high-temperature superconducting magnet experimental platform, a high-field magnet safety and service performance testing platform, a high-field magnet risk and reliability evaluation platform, and the international fusion energy joint center's "three platforms and one center" research facilities. The main body consists of four floors above ground and a partial underground floor.
