The Ministry of Water Resources has upgraded the emergency response for flood control in Gansu and Qinghai to Level III.

According to the analysis of the Meteorological Risk Warning of Mountain Flood Disasters in the next 24 hours by the Ministry of Water Resources and the China Meteorological Administration, the Ministry of Water Resources will upgrade the flood prevention emergency response level from level IV to level III for Gansu and Qinghai provinces at 20:00 today. The two provinces are required to further strengthen their defense responsibilities, closely monitor local heavy rainfall processes, focus on mountain flood risk points and areas such as channel settlements, construction sites, valley attractions, and bridges upstream and downstream, adjust warning thresholds in a timely manner, fully utilize monitoring and early warning systems, accurately transmit warning information to grassroots frontline duty personnel in the first time, promptly evacuate the population in dangerous areas, and ensure flood prevention safety.
