Flash floods in Australia have led to a Chinese citizen going missing.

Several places in New South Wales, Australia recently experienced heavy rainfall, triggering flash floods. The Chinese Consulate General in Sydney confirmed on August 3rd that a Chinese female citizen went missing after being swept away by a flash flood on the night of the 2nd. The Chinese Consulate General in Sydney stated that they have been in contact with local authorities multiple times and have requested them to exert maximum effort and resources in the search and rescue operation for the missing person. Due to the local weather conditions, the search and rescue operation is currently suspended and is expected to resume early on the 4th. According to a previous report by the Australian police, on the night of the 2nd, a car was trapped in a flash flood in the Hunter Valley area, with both occupants being Chinese female citizens. When they attempted to leave the car, one person was swept away by the flash flood and went missing, while the other person was rescued.
