Our country plans to introduce regulations to protect the basic rights and interests of seniors in the workforce.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security issued the "Interim Provisions on the Basic Rights and Guarantees of Over-age Workers" on July 31, soliciting public opinions from now until August 31. The draft for public opinions specifies the basic rights and guarantees for over-age workers, proposing to strengthen the protection of their rights to labor remuneration, rest and leave, labor safety and health, and work-related injury insurance. It also aims to facilitate dispute resolution channels, allowing over-age workers to protect their legitimate rights and interests through labor dispute mediation and arbitration, filing lawsuits in people's courts, and lodging complaints with the relevant authorities.
