Insurance Industry Association issues a call to action on improving disaster response and insurance claims services during the main flood season.

On July 31, the China Insurance Industry Association issued a "Call to Fully Prepare for the Main Flood Season Disaster Response and Insurance Claims Service Work", including four aspects: first, enhance ideological awareness and strengthen industry responsibilities. Second, make good resource allocation and strengthen industry collaboration. Third, optimize insurance services and streamline claims green channels. Fourth, strengthen experience summary and continuously improve service capabilities. It mentioned that industry institutions should enhance collaboration, insurance companies should strengthen negotiation and cooperation, and similar loss assessment standards and claims standards should remain consistent, establish a mechanism for mutual recognition of inspection and loss assessment results, and improve inspection and loss assessment speed; reinsurance companies should actively follow up disaster handling processes and provide reinsurance support; loss adjusters should actively allocate inspection resources after receiving commissions and quickly complete inspection, appraisal, and assessment work for insurance targets.
