The State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters has initiated a level IV emergency response for flood control and typhoon prevention in Anhui Province.

According to the meteorological department forecast, Typhoon No. 8 "Zhu Jie Cao" will enter Anhui on the evening of July 31 and then linger with little movement. Affected by the typhoon, from July 31 to August 1, there will be heavy to torrential rains in some areas of central and southern Anhui, with locally severe rainfall. According to the "National Flood and Drought Emergency Response Plan" and relevant regulations, the National Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters decided to activate a Level IV emergency response for flood control and typhoon prevention in Anhui Province at 12:00 on July 31.
