Guangdong Province leads the country in output and production in various industries.

On July 31st, Wang Yiyang, Director of the Finance and Economy Committee of the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress, stated that research has shown the continuous improvement of the competitiveness of traditional industries in Guangdong Province. Industries such as food and beverages, refined edible vegetable oil, and beverages have the highest output in the country. The output and value of industries like textiles and clothing rank at the forefront of the country, the scale of the home appliance industry continues to rank first in the country, and products such as air conditioning units, electric fans, microwave ovens, range hoods, and gas appliances have the highest output in the country. From January to June this year, Guangdong Province produced 1.3134 million vehicles, ranking second in the country. The province has established five large petrochemical integration bases, with an annual processing capacity of over 80 million tons of crude oil, and the production of coatings, synthetic detergents, and plastic products ranks first in the country.
