Former member of the Party group and deputy director of the State Drug Administration, Chen Shifei, has been expelled from the party.

With the approval of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission conducted a case review and investigation into the serious violations of discipline and law by Chen Shifei, a former member of the Party group and deputy director of the National Medical Products Administration. Upon investigation, it was found that Chen Shifei had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original mission, resisted organizational investigation, disregarded the spirit of the Eight-point Regulation of the Central Committee, accepted gifts, money, and consumption cards in violation of rules, accepted banquets and travel arrangements in violation of regulations, failed to report personal matters as required, engaged in profit-making activities in violation of rules, obtained substantial returns through private lending after retirement, and engaged in profit-making activities related to the original jurisdiction of his former position. He used his public authority for personal gain, engaged in power-for-money transactions, and illegally accepted large amounts of money. Chen Shifei has seriously violated the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, and life discipline, and has committed serious violations of law and is suspected of bribery crimes. He has not restrained himself after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and his actions are serious and detrimental, and he should be severely dealt with. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on Disciplinary Actions of the Communist Party of China," the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," and the "Administrative Sanctions Law for Public Officials of the People's Republic of China," after research and approval by the meeting of the standing committee of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and reporting to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, it was decided to expel Chen Shifei from the Party, revoke the benefits he enjoys, confiscate his illegally obtained gains, and transfer the suspected criminal case to the procuratorate for review and prosecution in accordance with the law, all relevant properties involved will also be transferred.
