The first-instance trial of Wang Xiaoping, former director of the Discipline Committee of the Chinese Football Association, for bribery.

On July 30th, the People's Court of Songzi City, Hubei Province, publicly announced the verdict of the bribery case of Wang Xiaoping, former director of the Discipline Inspection Committee of the Chinese Football Association. Wang Xiaoping was sentenced to ten years and six months in prison for bribery, and fined 700,000 RMB. The ill-gotten gains and interest obtained by Wang Xiaoping through bribery were confiscated according to law and turned over to the state treasury. The Songzi City People's Court held a public trial of the case on April 16, 2025.
