New York spot gold rose more than 0.4%, the Philadelphia gold-silver index closed up more than 0.8%, and New York copper futures rose 1%.

On Tuesday, New York's closing session saw spot gold rise by 0.33%, at $3325.34 per ounce. COMEX gold futures rose by 0.44%, at $3324.60 per ounce; the October contract rose by 0.46%, at $3353.90. The Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index closed up by 0.86%, at 211.13 points. Spot silver rose by 0.07%, at $38.1978 per ounce. COMEX silver futures rose by 0.36%, at $38.360 per ounce. COMEX copper futures rose by 1.06%, at $5.6750 per pound. Spot platinum fell by 0.20%, at $1393.82 per ounce; spot palladium rose by 1.31%, at $1254.91 per ounce.
