According to the Securities Times APP, in 2025, the National Development and Reform Commission, together with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and other departments, continued to carry out the work of using employment as relief, actively expanding channels for low-income people to increase their income. According to the latest dispatch, in the first half of the year, by implementing central special investment projects for employment as relief, various regions have vigorously promoted the employment as relief method in various key engineering projects and agricultural and rural infrastructure sectors, attracting and mobilizing a total of 2.08 million low-income people for local employment, an increase of 32% compared to the same period last year. Labor remuneration totaling 22.3 billion yuan was paid out, an increase of 34% compared to the same period last year.
