The three major US stock indices closed lower.

The Dow fell 0.42%, the Nasdaq fell 0.38%, and the S&P 500 fell 0.28%. Most popular tech stocks declined, with Meta falling over 2%, PayPal falling 8.7%, Charter Communications falling 5.8%, Palo Alto Networks (PANW) falling 5.5%, Warner Bros. Discovery falling 4.5%, and AppLovin falling 2.3%. The "Bitcoin Holdings Large Holder" Strategy fell 2.3%, while Google A rose 1.6%, AMD rose 2.4%, AstraZeneca ADR rose 3%, Arista Networks rose 7%, and Kinspeed Electronics rose 9.3%. Among the Dow component stocks, UnitedHealth fell 6.7%, Boeing fell 4.4%, Merck Pharmaceuticals, Honeywell, Apple, Nike all fell by about 2% at most, while Goldman Sachs, Travelers Companies Inc., and Coca-Cola rose by over 1%.
