Peru's President Boruarte pointed out in his national address on the 28th that in recent years, Peru has continuously strengthened its comprehensive strategic partnership with China and promoted deep cooperation between the two countries in key areas. July 28 is the 204th anniversary of Peru's independence. Boruarte mentioned the Peru-China relationship specifically in her national address to Congress, stating that Peru is actively implementing the targets set in the "2024-2029 Joint Action Plan of the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Peru." She stated that the Chancay Port has officially started operations and is gradually developing into a new hub integrating logistics, industry, and technology along the Pacific coast of South America. Boruarte said that Peru's vision for port development goes beyond infrastructure construction, with the core being to achieve internal and external connectivity, stimulate regional economic vitality, and promote balanced regional development.
