The Ministry of Natural Resources has activated Level IV response for geological disaster prevention in Tianjin.

According to the latest forecast from the meteorological department, there will still be strong rainfall in some areas of Tianjin. The Geological Hazard Technical Guidance Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources has assessed that there is a high risk of geological disasters in parts of northern Tianjin. In accordance with the "Emergency Response Plan for Geological Disaster Prevention of the Ministry of Natural Resources," the Ministry of Natural Resources has decided to activate a Level IV response for geological disaster prevention in Tianjin at 23:00 on July 28. The Ministry of Natural Resources has requested that the Tianjin Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau remain vigilant, strengthen measures for preventing and responding to geological disasters during this strong rainfall event, organize inspections and investigations in a timely manner, effectively carry out monitoring and early warning, expert consultations, disaster and risk response, duty and monitoring, and information reporting. They also ask the China Geological Survey Bureau and the Geological Hazard Technical Guidance Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources to strengthen expert dispatching, organizational coordination, expert consultations, and provide full support in technical guidance.
