Nissan considers closing two factories in Mexico.
It has been reported that Nissan Motor Company's plan to close 7 factories globally as part of its restructuring efforts was revealed on the 28th, with 2 factories in Mexico being considered for closure. These two factories are the first overseas factory established by Nissan in 1966 and a joint venture factory with Mercedes-Benz Group in Germany, both located in central Mexico. Resolving the sluggish sales of Nissan and alleviating excess production capacity has become an urgent task, and these symbolic factories have also become candidates for closure.
