Sony's Aniplex announced on July 28th local time that their Japanese animated film "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train" had surpassed 10 billion yen in box office revenue in just 8 days since its release on the 18th, setting a new record as the fastest in Japanese film history. As of the 27th, the film had grossed 12.87 billion yen in box office revenue over 10 days, with a total of 9.1 million viewers.
