According to the Ministry of Water Resources, due to continuous rainfall in recent days, the Beijing Miyun Reservoir on the main stream of the Chaobai River experienced the highest inflow since its construction in 1959, reaching 6550 cubic meters per second at 3 am today. In order to ensure the need for flood control, the Miyun Reservoir started discharging water at 3 pm today, gradually reducing the water level in the reservoir. After discharging the floodwater from the Miyun Reservoir, it will mainly affect the downstream Chaoriver, Bairiver, and further downstream Chaobai River, mainly involving downstream areas such as Miyun, Huairou, Shunyi, and Tongzhou. People living along the river need to follow the control requirements of the river channel, stay away from the river, and ensure their safety.
