The Saudi Saad 2 PV power plant has successfully completed its first phase of investment.
Recently, the first batch of 799 megawatts of the Saudi Sakad 2 photovoltaic project, contracted by China Electric Power Construction, was put into commercial operation as scheduled. The Saudi Sakad 2 photovoltaic project is located in the Sakad region, 100 kilometers away from the Saudi capital Riyadh, and is the first gigawatt-level photovoltaic project constructed overseas by China Electric Power Construction. It is a total package construction by the joint operation of the China Electric Power Construction's East China Institute and Shandong Electric Power Construction Company. The total installed capacity of the project is 1.25 gigawatts, and the construction content includes 33/132 kV substations, 11.5 kilometers of transmission lines, and grid connection systems.
