Due to continuous rainfall, from 8:00 a.m. yesterday to 4:00 p.m. today, 31 rivers in Hebei, Beijing, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Yunnan, Xinjiang, and other regions experienced flooding above the warning level, with the maximum exceeding 0.05 to 3.48 meters. The new round of rainfall is mainly concentrated in the Haihe River basin. As of 4:00 p.m. today, due to continuous rainfall, ten rivers including the two sources of the Chaohua River and Baihe River in the Chaobai River, the Nanyang River, an upstream tributary of the Yongding River, experienced the largest floods on record. Chief hydrological forecaster Yin Zhijie from the Ministry of Water Resources stated that due to the future 2 days of rainfall in the northern region, it is expected that there will be significant rising water levels in the Beijing North Canal and the Guanting Reservoir section of the Yongding River in the Haihe River Basin, as well as in rivers such as the Juma River, Tang River, and Shahe, with the possibility of flooding above the warning level in some small and medium rivers.
