According to the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission, on the evening of July 26, Beijing's Miyun, Huairou, and Yanqing districts successively issued red rainstorm warnings, with heavy rainfall leading to the risk of flooding and geological disasters in many areas. The Beijing municipal transportation department has deployed comprehensive measures, including closing off risky mountain roads and implementing a series of response measures. The heavy rain has caused landslides on slopes, damage to road foundations, and bridge failures on many national and provincial highways in Huairou, Miyun, and Yanqing, leading to traffic interruptions on some sections. As of 9 a.m. on July 27, the transportation department has implemented closure measures on 32 road segments. After preliminary inspections, 15 water damage points have been identified on the closed-off sections, and proactive management measures have been taken to minimize the risk of citizens entering dangerous areas.
