On July 26th, according to the unified deployment of the Foshan Municipal Party Committee and Government, Foshan continued to carry out a special patriotic health campaign across the city. Leaders of the city and districts, as well as party members and cadres of various government agencies and enterprises, took the lead in going down to the grassroots frontline. The focus was on clearing breeding sites and eradicating mosquitoes, as well as on prevention and control publicity, to build a "mosquito-proof wall" and block the transmission chain of chikungunya fever. According to the situation report released by the five district health bureaus in Foshan, on July 25th, there were a total of 351 newly reported cases of chikungunya fever in the city, all of which were mild cases. Among them, Shunde District reported 273 new cases, mainly distributed in Lecong Town, Beijiao Town, and Chencun Town; Chancheng District reported 38 new cases, mainly in Shiwan Street and Zhangcha Street; Nanhai District reported 36 new cases, mainly in Guicheng Street, Dali Town, and Shishan Town; Gaoming District reported 2 new cases, located in Hecheng Street and Yanghe Town; Sanshui District reported 2 new cases, distributed in Xinan Street and Yundonghai Street.
