Reporters learned at the 2025 International Conference on Food Loss and Waste held in Jinan, Shandong from the 24th to the 26th that in 2024, the loss rates of the three main grains in China, wheat, rice, and corn, were 0.93%, 1.76%, and 2.06% respectively, which was 1 to 2 percentage points lower than in 2021. Over the course of three years, food losses were reduced by more than 50 billion kilograms.
