The fashion business of the French LVMH Group has plunged into a deeper decline.

French luxury goods giant Mot Hennessy Louis Vuitton Group released its second quarter results on the 24th, showing that sales in its fashion and leather goods division for the quarter decreased to 9 billion euros, a year-on-year decrease of 9%. LVMH Chief Financial Officer Cedric Caravane said on the 24th, "The decline in performance is mainly concentrated in the Asian market, especially with the weakness in the Japanese tourism industry, which is a reversal of last year's trend." The financial report also showed that LVMH's fashion and leather goods division's recurring operating profit for the first half of this year decreased by 18% compared to the same period last year.
