Former Fed Governor Wash said that if he were to vote, he would support a rate cut next week. When asked if he wanted to be the Fed Chairman, he said, "If the President called, I would be very honored." Wash said that there is no need for new laws, what is needed is a change in Fed leadership. He also stated that it is necessary to show the market that we are serious about cutting expenses.
