The exploration and achievements of the economic powerhouse provinces in terms of scale support, structural improvement, and momentum accumulation are important windows for observing the process of high-quality economic development in China. The economic powerhouse provinces have taken on the responsibility of "carrying the big burden" based on their long-term accumulated objective advantages, demonstrating proactive actions. The "half-year reports" of the six economic powerhouse provinces have all been released. In the first half of 2025, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong, Zhejiang, Sichuan, and Henan contributed over 29.4 trillion yuan to the total economic output, accounting for 44.6% of the national total, with five provinces outpacing the national average growth rate.
