According to reports, Ghana plans to issue licenses to cryptocurrency platforms, as authorities hope to generate revenue while regulating the asset class used by millions of people in this West African country. The Governor of the Bank of Ghana stated that the central bank is finalizing a regulatory framework and plans to submit it for parliamentary review in September. The proposed legislation will enable the country to fully utilize cryptocurrencies, promote cross-border trade, attract strategic investments, and gather financial data.
