Intelligence Finance News APP reported that China Gold (600489.SH) announced that on July 23, 2025, six students from Northeastern University were visiting and learning about the flotation process at the concentrator of Inner Mongolia Mining Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the company's controlling subsidiary China Gold Group, when a grate plate fell off and into the flotation tank. Despite all efforts to rescue them, the six individuals were confirmed to have drowned after being rescued, while one teacher was injured.
After the incident, the company immediately activated the emergency response plan, went to the scene for organization and handling, and promptly reported to the local government and relevant departments according to the procedures. Currently, all disposal work is proceeding in an orderly manner.
