Ministry of Finance: Continue to deepen the tax system reform of Hainan Free Trade Port.

Minister Liao Min of the Ministry of Finance stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on July 23 that the Ministry of Finance will continue to deepen tax reform in conjunction with the actual construction of free trade ports and the promotion of higher-level opening-up, to ensure that policy measures continue to increase and policy dividends continue to be released. This includes implementing existing preferential policies for corporate income tax and personal income tax, timely adjusting the list of taxed imported goods, further adjusting and optimizing the off-island duty-free shopping policy, actively studying the relevant tax policies for mainland residents' consumption of imported goods, and steadily advancing research on sales tax reform.
