United Nations Secretary-General: Global Transition to Renewable Energy "Irreversible"

United Nations Secretary-General Guterres stated on the 22nd that the global transition to renewable energy is "irreversible" and that the energy transition is "inevitable." He urged governments of all countries to submit comprehensive new climate plans before the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which will be held in November.
