Feng Fei, Secretary of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee, stated at a press conference on July 23 that in terms of the border closure policy, everything is ready. The import tax commodity catalog, prohibited and restricted list, processing value-added domestic sales duty-free policies, and supporting documents have all been prepared. In terms of hardware and software conditions, everything has been completed. The border closure hardware facilities have passed national acceptance, and information systems such as the national trade "single window" and customs intelligent supervision platform have been completed. In terms of pressure testing drills, progress is being made. The "manageable" ability has significantly increased through intensifying the pressure testing with a focus on "full process, all elements, full coverage, large sample size, and practicality".
