The NASDAQ Biotechnology Index closed up over 2.2%, outperforming the three major US stock indices.

Component stock Medpace closed up 54.52%, Iovance Biotherapeutics rose 25.70%, Fortrea Holdings rose 24.46%, and 10X Genomics rose 12.57%. Axsome Therapeutics, on the other hand, closed down 6.50%, Precigen fell 16.94%, and Replimune also fell 77.24%.
